CODE OF ETHICS

This Code applies to:

• All audio-visual content hosted or streamed on Oceaniek Stream
• All content partners, producers, licensors, and contributors
• All users accessing the Platform

All content must comply with applicable Indian laws and this Code of Ethics.

Oceaniek Stream operates in accordance with:

• The Information Technology Act, 2000
• IT Rules, 2021 (Digital Media Ethics Code)
• The Indian Penal Code
• The Copyright Act, 1957
• The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act
• Any other applicable central or state laws

Content found in violation of applicable laws shall be subject to removal or restriction.

The following categories of content are strictly prohibited and shall not be hosted or distributed on the Platform:

• Content threatening the sovereignty, unity, integrity, defense, or security of India
• Content promoting terrorism or unlawful activities
• Child sexual abuse material or exploitation
• Content involving minors in sexual or explicit situations
• Content inciting violence or criminal acts
• Hate speech targeting religion, caste, gender, ethnicity, nationality, or disability
• Defamatory or malicious false statements
• Content infringing intellectual property rights
• Content restricted or prohibited by court or government order

Such content shall be removed upon detection or lawful notice.

Certain content containing mature themes may be permitted subject to classification and viewer discretion.

This may include:

• Depiction of violence
• Strong language
• Sexual references (lawful and non-exploitative)
• Substance use
• Mature psychological themes

Such content shall be:

• Properly classified
• Accompanied by content descriptors
• Restricted through parental control mechanisms

Oceaniek Stream follows a structured age classification system in accordance with applicable guidelines.

Each title will display a visible age rating and content descriptors.

Age-restricted content may require:

• Age confirmation
• Parental PIN protection
• Viewer discretion notice before playback

Oceaniek Stream provides reasonable safeguards including:

• Age rating display on all titles
• Content descriptors
• PIN-based parental control for restricted categories
• Age confirmation prompts for adult-rated content

Parents and guardians are encouraged to use available parental control tools.

Oceaniek Stream shall:

• Exercise due diligence in content governance
• Implement classification and access control systems
• Establish and maintain grievance redressal mechanisms
• Act upon valid complaints within prescribed timelines
• Comply with lawful government and court orders

The Platform reserves the right to review, reclassify, restrict, or remove content that violates this Code.

All content partners and licensors must:

• Hold valid rights and licenses for submitted content
• Ensure content complies with applicable laws
• Avoid prohibited or unlawful material
• Cooperate with investigations or compliance reviews

Oceaniek Stream may suspend or terminate partnerships for violations.

Upon identification of violations, the Platform may:

• Remove content
• Restrict access
• Reclassify content
• Suspend accounts
• Terminate agreements
• Report unlawful activity to appropriate authorities

Decisions shall be made in good faith and in accordance with applicable laws.

Users may report concerns regarding content through:

• The "Report" feature available on content pages

Complaints shall be addressed in accordance with the Compliance and Grievance Redressal Mechanism available on the Platform.

Oceaniek Stream reserves the right to modify this Code of Ethics at any time to reflect changes in law, regulatory guidance, or operational requirements.

Updated versions shall be published on this page.

This Code of Ethics shall be governed by the laws of India.

Any disputes arising from or relating to this Code shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Mohali, India.
